First expo:QA session, Regression Testing Day

The first expo:QA session, dedicated to functional test automation, was held last June 17^th in Barcelona and was organized jointly with SOGETI, the worldwide leader in Software Control and Testing services.

The session's innovative format consisted of a presentation by SOGETI on the ROI resulting from automation followed by 4 hands-on workshops. Individual computers were provided for all workshop participants, allowing them to personally test the various tools presented by industry leaders such as Borland (SilkTest), HP (HP QuickTest Professional), IBM (IBM Rational Functional Tester) and Oracle (Oracle Functional Testing).

The Regression Testing Day sparked so much interest, in fact, that 2 parallel tracks were organized for all the professionals from both the business world and academia who wanted to participate in this event.

Participants gave the session's novel format as well as its content and organization high ratings.

The next event to be organized jointly by nexo QA and SOGETI is the annual expo:QA'09 conference scheduled for upcoming October 27^th, 28^th and 29^th in Madrid.
